CN Rail Derailment 

The District of Port Edward is aware of a CN Rail derailment that has occurred in the community.

CN Rail and emergency responders are currently on site and managing the situation. At this time, there is no immediate risk to public safety, however residents may notice increased activity in the area.

What to Expect:

• Emergency and CN personnel on site
• Equipment and cleanup operations
• Skeena Drive is closed until further notice 

Residents are asked to avoid the area and follow any directions provided by emergency personnel.

The District will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
